The chapter gathers together several times a year for such purposes as member/professional development, planning, support and to conduct general association business. Chapter business meetings are scheduled, along with others, such as "lunch 'n' learn" programs, as well as other member development sessions.

Networking with fellow chapter members to exchange ideas is a key role of the association. In addition, the chapter provides resources such as a periodic newsletter, tip sheets and a publication exchange.
